Welcoming Week is a national movement that seeks to raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming immigrants in our communities. At FWMoA, we are hosting 2 Welcoming Week events by partnering with the Fort Wayne-based Language Services Network to offer bilingual tours of our current exhibits.
September 14: Spanish-English Tour
September 21: Burmese-English Tour
The tours are free and no RSVP is required. However, if you have questions, please contact the Language Services Network at 260.426.6764.
About Welcoming Week: A growing number of places recognize that being welcoming leads to prosperity. Welcoming America provides the roadmap and support they need to become more inclusive toward immigrants and all residents.
Launched in 2009, Welcoming America has spurred a growing movement across the United States, with one in eight Americans living in a Welcoming Community. Our award-winning, social entrepreneurship model is beginning to scale globally.
A non-profit, non-partisan organization, Welcoming America is proud to support the many diverse communities and partners who are leading efforts to make their communities more vibrant places for all. Learn more at the Welcoming Week website.
