Scholastics Art Awards Scholarships

Our region is beginning to expand in all categories, including available scholarships. This year students will have a greater opportunity to secure scholarships to one of the schools listed below. Special thanks to these schools and organizations for supporting the arts in Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio Region:

University of Saint Francis
A $1,000 scholarship is offered by the University of Saint Francis Department of Art & Visual Communication to senior Gold Key winners. Students must meet USF admission standards and successfully participate in a USF Portfolio Review.

Indiana/Purdue University Fort Wayne
IPFW Department of Visual Communication and Design offers scholarship opportunities ranging from $500 to $2,000 in the categories of photography, computer art and graphic design.

Taylor University
A $1,000 to $1,500 scholarship is available to students who receive a Senior Portfolio Gold Key.

Huntington University
A $1,500 scholarship is available for one student who receives a Senior Portfolio Gold Key.

Manchester College
A $1,000 to $1,500 scholarship is available for one student who receives a Senior Portfolio Gold Key.

News-Sentinel Purchase Award
A $100 award will be given to each of the five American Vision Award winners. Two or three winning artworks will be purchased for the permanent collection in the Fort Wayne Newspapers building.

Martin Luther King Club
$250 will be awarded to an exemplary African-American art student from the Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio Region.

United Art & Education, Inc.
Two $50 gift certificates for outstanding works selected from winners in all categories.

Bikes and Boards
Bikes and Boards will select and purchase the digital rights from a student in the Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio Region. The artwork will be used for its small line of T-shirts and skateboards. The purchase amount is yet to be determined.
