Our region is expanding our scholarships. Students will have a greater opportunity to secure local scholarships to one of the schools listed below. Special thanks to these schools for supporting the arts in the Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio Region:
Art Award Scholarships
University of Saint Francis: $1000
To senior Gold Key winners that meet USF admission standards and successfully participate in a USF Portfolio Review.
Indiana/Purdue University Fort Wayne: Ranging from $500 to $2000
For students who receive a Senior Portfolio Gold Key.
Columbus College of Art and Design: TBD
Available to students who receive a Senior Portfolio Gold Key.
Huntington University: $1500
For one student who receives a Senior Portfolio Gold Key.
Manchester College: Ranging from $1000 to $1500
For one student who receives a Senior Portfolio Gold Key.
News-Sentinel Purchase Award: $100
An award will be given to each of the five American Vision Award winners. Two or three winning artworks will be purchased for the permanent collection in the Fort Wayne Newspapers building.
Martin Luther King Club: $250
Awarded to an exemplary African-American art student from the Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio Region.
United Art & Education, Inc.: TBD
We are currently working on an expanded scholarship opportunity with United Art & Education.
Bikes and Boards: TBD
Bikes and Boards will select and purchase the digital rights from a student in the Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio Region. The artwork will be used for its small line of T-shirts and skateboards.
Writing Awards Scholarships
University of Saint Francis: $1000
A $1000 scholarship from the English Department to Senior Gold Key Portfolio awards. Students must meet USF admission standards and successfully participate in a USF Portfolio Review.
Indiana/Purdue University Fort Wayne: $1000
A $1000 scholarship from the English Department to Senior Gold Key Portfolio awards. Students must meet admission standards and successfully participate in a Portfolio Review.
NPIR:
I read it on NPIR
Working with the local WBOI and WBNI a group of students will be selected to read their work on air.
Martin Luther King Club: $250
$250 will be awarded to an exemplary African-American writing student from the Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio Region.
