The Museum is proud to present the 86th annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. As overseers of the Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio Scholastics programs we champion and celebrate the outstanding achievements of young artists in visual arts and writing.

This exhibition includes over 450 works of art and writing that are awe inspiring and thought provoking. These works give us a glimpse of our region’s talented students. Scholastics 2008 propelled us to the 12th best region in the country; and The Fort Wayne Museum of Art was touted at the National Award Ceremony at Carnegie Hall for its success in managing a model program.

The Museum’s achievements in leading our Scholastics program is directly related to our commitment to develop the talent of the young people in our region. This annual exhibition is clear evidence that there is an abundance of creativity in our region and that our students are competitive with any in the nation.
