Childrens Book Illustrator Series: Works by Jeanne Rorex Bridges

This charming exhibition features the original paintings by Jeanne Rorex Bridges for the children’s book, Crossing Bok Chitto: A Choctaw Tale of Friendship and Freedom written by Tim Tingle. Rorex Bridges is an award-winning artist of Cherokee ancestry. For several years, she has incorporated paintings depicting the shared history of Southeastern Indians and African Americans with her Native American work. This is her first time illustrating a children’s book.
