Does Size Really Matter?
July 28 – August 26, 2007
Scale and size are always integral to experiencing a work of art. The artist’s choice of size and the power of scale, however, are rarely to focus of an exhibition. Does Size Really Matter? features a disparate group of contemporary paintings, drawings, and prints that at times are among the largest works in the museum’s collection. Included are such artists as Norman Bluhm, Joan Mitchell, Kiki Smith, Larry Rivers, Susan Rothenberg.
