Educational Sponsorships:
First Sundays — $750
Once a month, on the day most families find time to look for
new experiences together, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art presents
a spectacular palette of activities to delight all ages and
interests. Visitors can participate in exhibition tours,
art demonstrations, hands-on activities and movies while
listening to music and enjoying light refreshments. First
Sundays occur, of course, the first week of each month and
are free to the public.
Free Wednesdays — $500
In an attempt to make art and art education accessible to those
in the community for whom the admission fee might be a stopping
point, the Museum opens its doors to the public each Wednesday
free of charge. A variety of community organizations, groups
and schools are able to take advantage of this popular day
at the Museum.
Art Scene $250
This program takes place on Free Wednesdays during the months
of September, October, November, March, April and May. It features
an up-close and personal introduction to a series of living
Indiana artists who visit the Museum to present their work
and describe its meaning.
CRIT! — $250
This interactive evening art discussion features a revolving
panel of guest critics who attempt to interpret and evaluate
a surprise slate of artworks drawn from the history of American
Art. Once they render judgment, things really get interesting
as the audience is asked to critique the responses of the
critics. This discussion takes place once in the Fall and
once again in the Spring.
Scholastics — $250 - $5000
In January of each year, students from all around the region
will enter artwork into the Scholastic Art Awards to compete
for awards and scholarships. This program enriches many young
lives and allows young artists a forum to present their creative
talent.
The Art’SCool Reader — $1500
This innovative children’s publication is chock full
of pictures, puzzlers, educational activities, and ArtiFacts
that relate to the Museum’s current exhibitions and the
world of art all around us. The Art’SCool Reader is designed
to bolster the creative spirit of all children and to especially
encourage these budding artists to stretch their imagination
by increasing their level of art appreciation and presenting
them with new opportunities to explore!
Art’SCool Summer Camp — $750
This summer camp opportunity for young artists ages 4 to 15
is designed to nurture individual expression, creativity,
and imagination. Classes will integrate the study of great
artists in and out of the galleries, feature a visiting artist,
as well as celebrate student work.
