Member Spotlight – Mark Michael

Chalk Walk is an annual favorite of participants and sponsors alike. This Member Spotlight features a corporate sponsor who was a Chalk Walk participant as well!

Last year when the call came out for volunteers to help create the Fort Wayne Metals Research Products Corp. sponsored square, Mark Michael, President and Chief Operating Officer jumped at the chance to spend the day chalking with his daughter. Mark and his daughter, Emily were assigned a square next to the FWM Corporate square and then faced the daunting task of creating a masterpiece on a piece of Main Street with a crack down the middle! According to Mark, “We laughed; got frustrated, laughed some more and ultimately we were happy with the result”.

When asked what benefit Fort Wayne Metals staff receives from the Museum as a corporate sponsor Mark replied, “I hope we are showing leadership in encouraging our employees to participate in the Arts. I know it shows our support for the community in which we live. We want to encourage creativity and desire to experience what life has to offer. And we want to foster a corporate culture that has real character and identity.”
