Visual Arts Career Day
In the fall of 2008, FWMoA partnered with area and regional arts professionals to present the first biennial Visual Arts Career Day, an event aimed at answering the many questions visual arts majors face as they approach graduation. This event successfully framed the visual arts as a broad and versatile field, no longer to be seen as a career path limited in options.

Students, faculty, and staff spent the day with area art professionals to explore a variety of opportunities in the dynamic field of art. Many attended presentations on the diverse career options for art and art history majors, sought advice on crafting winning résumés, and learned to write an effective artist’s grant. To be held every two years, we will host this exciting opportunity for local colleges and universities again in the Fall of 2010.
