Library Policies
Acquisition of Materials/Gift Policy
Library materials are acquired based on a set of criteria outlined by the Librarian, Deputy Director, and Executive Director including, but not limited to, relevance to the mission of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art and its permanent fine art collection, staff research support for current and upcoming exhibitions, and support for local educators and students of all levels.
The collection housed in the Edward D. Auer Memorial Art Library has been made possible in part by generous donations throughout the history of the FWMoA. We gladly accept book, fine art, and monetary donations to enhance the offerings of the art library. Donations are assessed in terms of condition and relevance to the library and permanent fine art collections.
Overdue Materials
Overdue fines will be charged weekly. A fine of $1.00/week is accrued for every overdue item. Fines are payable by cash or check to the FWMoA librarian.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Materials
Items reported as lost or stolen or returned damaged will be the responsibility of the member checking out the item. A replacement fee will be charged to the Member account.
Food and Beverage
Food or beverages are not permitted in the Edward D. Auer Memorial Art Library.
