Green Hair Revolution’s mission is to provide individuals with strategies for healthy hair, self-image and lifestyle by providing education, engagement and empowerment, around hair, body, mind and spirit to the public! Sisters and founders Sherry E. Early- Aden and Clydia Early began Green Hair Revolution as a community outlet to share and discuss experiences pertaining to our hair and it’s health. After travels, meet-up sessions, forums and reflections around the power, politics and industry of hair, they realized that many of socities issues with hair were greater then what was on the top of their heads! They realized that what they were witnessing was a revolution - A COMPLETE AND MARKED CHANGE FROM WHERE WE HAVE BEEN, BACK TO WHERE WE STARTED. Let The Revolution Begin!

Thanks to our sponsors for supporting this event!

In 2012, a partnership between the Fort Wayne Museum of Art and Green Hair Revolution began, whose efforts inspired the first Art of Hair event in May 2013 upon the launch of the Museum's debut exhibition of its collection of photographs by Michael July, an artist and author who set out to chronicle the "˜Fro and some of the country's most fascinating natural hair proponents.
