Mark Kistler's Summer Art Camp

An awesome week of drawing in 3-D!

June 4-7, 2018

In collaboration with WFWA PBS 39

Parents watched Mark Kistler as "Commander Mark" on National Public Television's "The Secret City" and "Mark Kistler's Imagination Station" in the 1980s. Now, the new generation of children have the opportunity to learn from nationally acclaimed art educator Mark Kistler.

Children will have dynamic drawing lessons progressing through a series of fun, creative pencil power adventures, (Parents are invited to participate!). Each day, Mark will explore a different theme of creative discovery, from medieval castles to undersea adventures, from lunar moon modules to drooling dinosaurs. These are Summer Art Camps that your child will never forget! Mark Kistler has written 9 best-selling children's how-to-draw books, starred in 200 television episodes, and taught millions of children how-to-draw in over 18 countries around the world. He can teach your children too!

Because learning how to draw in 3-D builds important creative thinking skills, powerful problem solving skills, and a solid foundation for future art success (careers in children's book illustration, digital 3-D game design, digital 2-D and 3-D animation). Many of Mark's alumni students are successful digital game designers and animators with resume projects including Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, Bugs' Life, Toy Story, Marvel Comics, Leapfrog Toys, etc. Get your kids to turn off the screens and turn on their imaginations!

Each hour-long session is different. Students are encouraged to register for 2 sessions per day...that's 2 1/2 hours of drawing with Mark each day!
